BarkBox March 2013

Untitled6Another month and another exciting BarkBox for the dogs.  Samson and Sophie do find these boxes to be a lot of fun.  It seems like they knew it was their box the minute it arrived. The boxes are full of so many interesting smells.

This month’s box included:

  • Little Eatz Perfect Peanut Butter Treats – These are all natural and unique in that they suggest you eat them with your pet.  I couldn’t eat a dog treat, but my husband tried them and he said that they were ok.  A little bland and not as sweet as people treats.  They love peanut butter, so these were a hit.  Value is $3.33
  • Lollycadoodle Wool Mouse – This toy was handmade in Nepal and is fair trade certified.  I am not sure it can stand up to our dog’s teeth.  They tend to rip holes in most toys.  They actually wanted to chew on this at the same time.   They played pretty rough and it is still in good shape.  Retail value is about $13.00

  • Teeny Treats Liver Lover’s Gourmet Mix by Feel Good Treats – These look perfect for training.   It is really difficult to find really small treats to train small dogs.  I love to teach the dogs to do tricks and it seems to also be the highlight of their day.  It is amazing what they can do.  Some people freeze them in small bags to keep these fresh.  They loved the taste and were begging for more.  I couldn’t find these for sale online, but I would estimate that they would be about $5.oo.
  • Harry Barker Hemp bone – It is 50% hemp and 50% cotton and is machine washable which will be great.  Sophie wanted to play with this as soon as she saw it.  Value is $10.00

  • A small fire hydrant bag holder for their leash.  Always useful.

  • Coupon for $10 off of a $49 purchase at Pet360.com.  Free shipping included.

BarkBox is a service that will send you a box of dog toys and treats every month. Cost is $29 for a single month, but can be as low as $18 per month if you sign up for 6 months. They will donate 10% of the total to support a rescue group.  I would say this service is definitely for people who want to spoil their pets.  I would estimate that the box is worth around $30.  The items are unique and I have a difficult time finding many of them for sale online.  They seem to be good quality products that are durable, natural and healthy and the dogs love them.  Use my referral link for $5.00 off if you would like to give it a try.
